Appreciate your views! I spent nearly twenty years in the child protection system fighting with the same toads for children's basic needs, well-being and safety. IMO the world of gov't toads is the force in control and is not about to change anytime soon. ( Many toads are very poisonous and hard to spot until you step on them)
After a few years I looked at my job like pitching in the majors. It does not matter if the other team is hitting everything I still have to do my best as a professional and pitch consitently each day. I became happier and less burned out/angry as an advocate when I focused on the client group. It actually made me more effective over the long haul. One issue at a time and squeaky when needed but not aggressive to the point where the toad people thought of me as a burned out bearing they had to avoid. Hope I do not sound preachy. Hang in there!
