ExFamily.org has started a new board called Kathy’s Corner. This new board has been set up because we realize that there are many people who have left the Family whose needs are not being met by other boards.
You may be struggling financially; you may be worried about different things your children and grandchildren are going through; you may be coping with disease and have no health insurance; you may be forced to live in places you don’t want to call home; you may have found yourself working with very difficult people who are hard to get along with; you may be agonizing over family members whom you love dearly who show no signs of leaving the Family; you may be wondering what the future holds; and you may be very lonely with no one nearby who really understands what you are going through whom you can talk to.
We really want Kathy’s Corner to be a place that does its best to befriend, support, encourage and sustain people like you. When you feel you are about to break in smithereens, may this be the place you come to!
My personal intense conviction is that Jesus Christ is still alive and well and very much desirous of helping everyone to create a fulfilling, challenging, honorable, prosperous life once you have made the decision to exit the morass we call “The Family.”
Having been gone from the Family for almost 18 years now, I can tell you that I have seen hundreds of answers to prayer in those years and hundreds of interventions in my life by a God whose love I can feel every single day. And God has also used me to pray for literally hundreds of people and situations and has answered those prayers in remarkable ways! I even married an atheist 12 years ago who today loves Jesus and is certain to the core of his being that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. The truth of the Bible won the heart of this man who had a master’s degree in psychology and was determined to be captain of his ship and master of his fate!
So I am inviting you to share your experience of post-family life with me. I invite you to do it publicly on Kathy’s Corner because so many people will benefit from hearing what you have to say. They will be able to relate, it will make them feel that they are not alone, and it will provide you with an outpouring of goodwill from people who completely resonate to what you have been going through.
I’m urging people to share both their sorrows and their victories on Kathy’s Corner. I, in turn, will pray for you and love you and encourage you and I will personally bring your burdens before God’s throne of grace to intercede on your behalf. You and I will agree together before God that the promises in the Bible are going to be fulfilled in your life.
If, however, you are not comfortable stating things publicly on the board, then please contact me at Kathy@exfamily.org so I can begin to help you privately through email, phone calls and perhaps visits.
Just one word of caution: Kathy’s corner is a Bible Believing Christian Board. We assume that if you post on Kathy’s Corner, you love Jesus, believe in him, trust him and are looking to him to supply all your needs as he promises in Philippians 4:13. If you want to discuss doctrines or other spiritual paths than Christianity, we invite you to post these thoughts at the Journeys board, which has been set up for this purpose. Others on that board are better equipped to discuss these issues.
So, with this post, we hereby launch Kathy’s Corner and invite you to come share as well as to tell others who may be in need of a loving, supportive, Christ-centered environment to come to when they need help.
