That's right, one wonders the types of payments others may have received.
Social networks and self-organizing teams are interesting constructs to view control dynamics. The sexualized environment of TF trivializes sex but cannot do away with the internalization of its results. After all intimacy is very personal. I wonder if longitudinal work might be able to see common personality traits on those who are "cult material" and those who are not.
In fact, we, exmembers of the most notorious sex cult of modern days, might be able to provide very good material on this topic. After we have such diverse collection of motivations, personalities, outcomes, etc. we are a rich group to be studied.
Now, that is a great fund raising proposition but who would like to study such a group, much less give money? Oh well, it sounded good for a couple of seconds.
