Soooooooooooooo, what does brainwashed mean, exactly? The term is thrown around pretty loosely. Is there some sort of research that supports it? I can deal with strong mental conditioning, but brainwashing seems like a slippery slope.
If someone who sexually abused kids or raped women in the cult claims he was brainwashed, does that let him off the hook?
If we're going to use the term, then it would be nice to flesh out a working definition, so we're all on the same page.
So what did you think of the new Manchurian Candidate? Better than the old one? I liked the old one more. Angela Lansbury was so ...evil. Saw the old one when I was a kid, and was spellbound by it.
