I phoned Sam as soon as I heard about this and I did not misunderstand anything. He backed down from his request when I strongly voiced my opinion and he admitted then that the idea was a mistake, but what would have happened if I had not found out? The young person was not even coherent at the time and by the time they were discharged (into the care of the same friend) would have been extremely suggestible.
And yes I do have something to gain from this. I am making the point that I am not disagreeing with Sam for no reason. I brought this up because this incident showed me first hand that exploitation if it serves a "cause", disregard for the welfare of victims and fanaticism about "exposing" the Family with no regard for the fallout or the effectiveness of the campaign is his MO.
I want no part in any of that.
