That whole thing was to prove that there wasn't enough sex going on and that the members weren't practicing the precious Law of Love doctrine of Bergs or FFing.
Right after that Berg fired the leadership, set up Visiting Servants (VS's) with a mission to go around and make sure all homes were enlightened with the sexual liberties that somehow meant God was love and the members were obedient.
It was then that I had my first extramarital encounter and I despised it. There was no way out because my clever then husband was off with some exgirlfriend he was having sex with and witnessing to. I was left to obey or else.
It was then that the FFing and sharing really exploded worldwide. It was then that the sexual liberties went ballistic. When I was leaving TF and had returned to the States, I meant more members who had been in South America somewhere. I was meeting children who had been sexually used by stepfathers, brothers, etc. I had never seen that so much before. Berg opened the floodgate and TF heirarchy made weak attempts to control it. There was some sort of rule in place that they weren't supposed to have sex with minors, but it was happening anyway - especially in South America.
It was odd because I also met members who were on 3 month excommunication status for this offense, but others were left unchecked. Nothing ever quite makes sense in the upside down world of TF fairyland.
