I wonder why you feel obliged to be judge & jury on this matter without knowing all the facts. You keep saying Penn should pay the money to SGs. How do you know Penn hasn't done exactly this in doing 'community time' working with SGs? Just because you don't know about it doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Think how long it took him to write both articles. That was a lot of 'community time' to help SGs, probably more than you yourself have put in to the same effort. I understand the point you're making, but it seems that you're making a lot of assumptions.
