I got the point that Zerby, Smith & Company are a ruthless bunch of hypocrits who will do whatever is necessary to insure their survival. By falling on his own sword, is James Penn now an heroic, repentent martyr for the cause of those he victimized through his service to the Queen?
I'm not convinced he has recognized the extent to which his sense of entitlement to $17K in severence pay is based on having chosen to participate in a criminal coverup. He titled his article "Take the money & run." It's time for him to quit running from the consequences of his personal choices and do something more substantial than "take the money & talk."
I'm particularly irked by his statement that his personal choices are "beside the point." I don't agree with those who want to let him off the hook simply because he's willing to talk about how he managed to profit from a level of corruption that he partially enabled. Sounds like a plea bargain to me.
This is what I'd like to see as the title of Mr. Silver-Tongued Penn's next article: Take the Money & Contribute to a Victims' Support Fund.
