Frankly, I'm amazed at how well the majority of SGs who post at movingon have done considering their childhoods and the difficulty of successfully transitioning to life in the System. But these are all survivors.
We don't hear that much about the SGs who are still bouncing in and out of psychiatric hospitals or drug & alcohol detox units or the ones who have landed in jails and prisons. We know something about the ones who have suicided, but only to the extent they have family members who are willing to speak out about these deaths.
It's good that the ones who have survived and moved on are willing to speak their truths and seek justice for their generation. From what I read, it seems that the ones who were closest to Berg or in WS homes had it the worst.
