Yes, he had all the privileges of living in a bubble when he was young & didn't get dragged out on the streets litnessing or busking like so many other SGs his age, but I lived in Berg's home when Ricky was older & as far as I could see Ricky was just another WS kid, semi-safe from the pressures of the field & yeah he had the 'wonderful privilege' of being close to Berg (like wouldn't any kid want that?) but mostly he was treated like anyone else. He ate the same food, worked as a handyman & was real close to Berg to make sure he'd get shit for any mistakes. The picture you have of him in your mind as a Prince maybe comes from old photos of him when he was a little kid living in Spain & places. He was almost always smiling in the pictures not because he was treated so good but because any kid will smile at a camera. Looks can be deceiving & all was not beautiful in paradise.
