Ricky can play a pivotal role in the justice effort--not just in helping track down the criminal leadership & locate the Family's deep pockets--but also in the successful prosecution of a civil suit for damages. It will be very difficult for the Zerboid to beat the rap on all the evidence that's sitting out there just waiting to bite her in the ass, particularly if her son files suit.
Now I'll play the prophet: The Family will strike back by trying to discredit their wayward son. We'll soon enough hear all about what a slimeball he really is, if only we knew him. They will also find a way to get at him in some ways that are personally hurtful--stuff that wouldn't bother me or you, but will target Ricky at his emotional core. They'll know how to push his buttons because they installed them.
Hopefully, he will protect himself from the inevitable pushback. Better that he goes into this battle with support than alone. That's what's different now--individual victims and survivors are no longer alone, but have joined together. Yeah! Power to the people!
