Don, in my post to you yesterday (which you didn't respond to) I commented on the possibility that humour might be one avenue that allows people like you and me, that is, people who completely disagree on most matters, to work towards civil conversation rather than dogmatic diatribes. I was a little shocked, though, when this morning I read your latest posts, and your glib comments about guns. Perhaps in another context they might be considered humourous, but I was astounded when you kept it up even though some people expressed how hurtful your comments were due to the personal anquish they have experienced in relation to guns. Maybe you were sincerely trying to be funny in an effort to diffuse the situation, but I have my doubts about that. You came across, to me at least, as completely insensitive and insincere, and imo it says a lot about your christian values. If I have misread or misjudged you, I apologize, but you come across to me as one scary dude.
