Question to Coords re The Manchurian Candidate

I've seen the remake of The Manchurian Candidate. It's an improvement over the first, and quite powerful. It's likely that some people would like to discuss it here, but that could be a problem given the current ban on political subjects. I don't see how it would be possible to discuss this film without including recent and current U.S. politics. This is not meant to undermine or criticise the ban, just a heads up that you may want to consider this(assuming, of course, that you haven't already).

It's a very provocative film and worth seeing, imo, but just a caution for some that it's quite intense in parts; more so than in the original.
