KJV Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

I heard a wonderful sermon once about it, stating, that this should be the ground, the basis upon which the Christian husband could ask his Christian wife to be in submission.If that giving himself would be missing, it'd be quite hypocritical to ask the wife to be in submission.

However, I am not so sure why we quote Berg & his
drivel...for one, we know, he mixed sound scripture - unless someone doesn't believe the Bible anymore or good parts of it - with many more of his own words, therewith giving it his own "twist"..
But what I don't get is this, do the exers here & elsewhere also admit, that he did quote the Bible & some of what he said, can't so easily be dismissed, since it's The Bible, after all...

I am reading about Luther right now again, much of his own words are quite cruel & horrible, however
here & there it's not so easy to dismiss his reflections on the scripture...his opponents are not so supermuch more "logic", only because they happen to be more "softspoken"...

By the way the Woman & Christianity/Bible-subject
(not only in TF) could be quite an inflammatory one,...there are enough female Theologians who dismiss quite a lot of what Paul said (if they at all believe, that Paul has said it!) & initiated something like a feministic Theology...

(sometimes I suspect people in & out of TF have not only problems with what Berg or Zerby says,
but rather with what the Bible says!!!!)

one car sticker would read (translated): When she created man first, she was only exercising.
