With the current renovations on our site, there are 3 or 4 types of error messages that pop up when they do. Which are you getting?
- Oops... The page you requested could not be found...
This is a standard Error 404 message - it's probably caused by our deleting or moving some files around. We don't want any dead links, so if you actually clicked on something or if some address you used to type into your URL box doesn't work anymore, please report these errors to me here on genX
- Error 400 - Bad Request
This is caused by a script (programming code) malfunctioning or when a command cannot be executed ("bad request"). This could be caused by our current site renovations. It is also what happens when someone tries to use or access our site for unathourized purposes. A report is logged and sent to me for review. If you're getting these from trying to access our site normally, it can be irritating to get informed that IF you were indeed trying to hack in we certainly noticed it. Please let me know if you get these Error 400 messages
- Error 500 - Internal Server Error
This is caused by a script malfunctoning, pretty much because of some line of code somewhere that doesn't work anymore thanks to current site renovations. Please be patient as I look into these line for line, and fix them one by one. I will prioritize anything that is reported here, so please let me know here on genX if you're getting Error 500 messages.
- Sorry, No External Use! Our script could not be executed...
This is caused when it appears that you typed a script command line directly into your URL box, which is not allowed. Recently, due to site renovations, these errors came up quite frequently. It can be caused by our scripts malfunctioning, or my missing a line of code somewhere. It can also be caused by your firewall blocking "private header info," so please look into that. If you're not using a firewall or if you know that it's not blocking "private header info," please report these errors to me here on genX.
Now on the other hand, here are some of the more serious violations:
- HALT!Authorization Required!
This should only come up if you specifically tried to access a private area.
- Error 403 - Access Forbidden!
This should only come up because direct access is restricted, or public access is forbidden.
If you typed a script command line directly into your URL box, you chould get this message.
Recently during renovations, we secured and closed all the doors to our site, and opened them up one by one, after careful review of each area or script. If you are getting these from trying to access the site normally, it could be because of a door we forgot to re-open. Please let me know by reporting it here on genX.
Thank you for your patience!
