Berg's mentioned in his letter, "It's Time to Fight! - For Your Kids" after seeing the ABC "20/20" Show, that Fam members in foreign countries had no obligation to obey any papers issued by the home country (FBI, CIA, US EMBASSY, ETC...) unless the authorities in the country the that they were residing in could be persauded to take action against them - perhaps usuing an international interpol arrest warrant, for example, which, according to Berg, Viv and the 20-20 crew didn't have. I don't know how true all that is. He probably reseached it thoroughly, though, since HE Hadta Split years earlier for what Viv was probably rescuing the kids from - "incest." He mentioned in this letter, too, that the Phillipine persecution was over "incest lies" and that the Fam needed to be warned that incest was going to be the excuse that the wolves around the world were going to use to steal away the Fam's lambs - the children.

He then advocated all kinds of things: stealing the back the kids, fleeing, hiding, that the enemy would be put on notice, that there'd be a fight, lawyers, legal means, violence, even kill if it came to that, and the laying down of our lives, etc... and that it was the DEVIL'S PROGRAM to corrupt and pollute the children, and that Fam members had to get the point that it was the church people, antagonistic relatives, and all the ACs thinking they are doing God a service who were the dedicated enemies stirring up the popullace - who normally would have been indifferent - to be antagonistic through their child abuse campaigns. And to prove that he meant that the Fam was going to fight, he suggested excommunicating the parents who wouldn't.

What it all boiled down to was: Fam members could and should fight for their kids, even use violence if the cops weren't involved, also meaning, imo, that those American 20-20 personnel who came on their own (without the cops) were outside the law and should have been resisted. He went on to say that the good shep, Barz, shoulda been laying down his life for the sheep (which is exactly what Viv was doing, imo, in rescuing her kids from the cult.) He went on to say that he (BERG), himself, was going to fight for Barz and the kids, but we never did hear anything about that again, did we?
