I don't know what kind of BB you had but I am sure that by now you recognize that issues in this community go very deep and they are complex. Many people go back and forth on them and after reaching fixed status, many have a hard time reviewing them. There is a constant struggle of insecurity until a position is taken. During that time, thoughts go back and forth and, I know of a few people, who try yo view both sides or more of issues as a way to find that certainty.
You have discovered that but I'd say that this is not really the problem as much as what the topic is. As somebody else pointed out, there are times when these conversations within one's self are a positive part of the process of healing (I am not sure if that was the wording) and may bring light to others who cannot view many arguments for or against. What may be counter productive are those discussions that don't complement.
I guess what I am trying to say is that there are times when multiple pen names is not a problem, the problem is the topic and content as well as the tone of the posts.
I don't know what the solution to that problem is, other than respect and accept contrary opinions (which is already harcoded into the guidelines), but this is my view on why this community, of ex members of the cog cult, the family, differs from others whose population are more heterogeneous in respect to acceptance of other people's views.
