Siggy, I'm not a big fan of yours. I'll never respect you for your coverup of childhood incest as a cause of traumatic stress disorders in later adult life. You sold out to the System on that one big time, and a generation of women suffered because you were too much of a coward to risk your professional reputation and career for what you knew was the truth.
Nevertheless, you were among the first to recognize that the human mind and behavior are a function of biological functioning, and you did use rudimentary scientific methods in your investigations. Fortunately, research on the neurochemistry of the brain has left some of your ideas about mental illness in the dust.
Since you died of mouth cancer with half your face eaten away...and as long as you're willing to take The Family's Principle Pathological Pinhead down on your couch for a little probing, would you give her a big smooch for me?
