yeah, we in the U.S. are pretty dumb. Someone visiting from another country happened to watch court TV, or something like that. He said he was told that the people bringing suit on these TV shows were a good cross section of America. His response; "if that is so, then how did this country become so great?" Beats me and I hope he doesn't watch Jerry Springer.
However, there are a lot of hard working, honest, driven people who do appreciate what it means to be an American, who do have a heart for the downtrodden and honestly try and go about doing something about it. Who are honestly outraged over abuses and are not afraid to look inwardly and try and make some sort of amends, put the government to task and keep liberty and freedom at the fore. I think there are just a lot of hard working, honest people whom you never hear about because they aren't newsworthy and help the ratings.
