Interesting observations. I had some similar thoughts concerning parallels between Bush and Berg, especially considering Bush's evangelical belief that he was chosen by God to spread American "democracy" throughout the world. As commander-in-chief of American armed forces, Bush, imo, is as much a cult leader as Berg was.
