You can't reform the group. Why would anyone want to change it? If M&P are tossed out, which is the first requisite for any meaningful change, why would any successor want to keep the Family baggage of the last 35 years? What would be the point? What good would it accomplish?
In my view, it would be like trying to keep the Nazi party going after WW2. "Well, we'll get rid of Adolph and his cronies, change a lot of policies, issue apologies, hand out compensation, and so on." What would be the point?
As long as M&P run the group, it will never change. They are incapable of saying they were wrong. A lot like Bush.
It can never be reformed. All we can do is make conditions favorable enough for people to leave voluntarily, raise public awareness so that they cannot flourish, and generally contain them, limit their ability to do damage.
But in my view, reform is out of the question.
