It took me quite some time to leave and it was a long process. I went through the same thing everybody else did, slowly and painfully shedding off the rags of shame. I am still doing it.
But on the other hand, I did counted myself to be a disciple even as I was dealing with them. I would have never considered myself not to be one of the "chosen ones". It took me a long time to realize I had been on top of a false idol. Then I did.
Some people go fast others slow but what I was trying to say had to do with some old timers who are still holding onto The Family's things and calling themselves ex members. They are only kidding themselves. Or even if they don't call themselves anything, they still have the smell...
think Mother Eve, Joel, Faithy, the woman in that ranch in TX, the guy who had a laurel for a home, etc.
