Well, I know that power and control certainly played a major role in his reasons for organizing the family. And, of course, sex was important because he was obsessed with it. But I just wondered if maybe money had something to do with it as well. Other organizations that have an extensive amount of tithing have something to show for it. For example, Catholics give 10 % (supposedly) and have grand churches. I'm not saying people in TF were rich or anything, but 10 % from all those homes had to come out to an impressive amount. Plus Berg never really spent much of it. I mean, he did have those publications and stuff, but I remember that we had to get our own copies for lit and buy tapes and stuff to sell. He wasn't exactly what I'd call a philanthropist.
