Sometimes I wonder if all this Left Behind stuff is doing these fundies a diservice. A few years ago we watched a movie where this woman gets into some kind of cult like situation and she ends up killing her daughter so she'll go to heaven as the apocolypse is about to happen. It was really a strange movie. It left me feeling very disconcerted. I can see how these people get into these mind-sets and it's very disturbing. I think people need to take this cult stuff a lot more seriously than they do. This story about the children is horrendous. If you get a chance, look it up. The guys name is Marcus Wesson and it happened in Fresno, California. It is an interesting study in human nature when you watch all the events unfold, the reaction of the son and daughter, including the daughter that had incest with her father and two of the murdered children were hers. And we think we were screwed up.
