He committed atrocious acts of sexual molestation against my cousins and half-sister. When my cousin proceeded to take him to court, the Family spokesperson pleaded with her for an out-of-court settlement of $5,000 cash and therapy time for him, as well as an apology from him. Being desperate of cash at the time, and not wanting a big fight due to other committments, she settled for the cash and now regrets not having seen it through.
This court case came out as a GV prayer request about a decade or go, when the GV first came out, or in some publication way back then. No details were published other than "desperate prayer for postitive results in a court case in SD."
At the time I was in the group, knew no real details other than my cousin and uncle were pursuing a lawsuit against her step-father (Sloan). I of course joined in the group prayers against my uncle and cousin, and took up the fight of the persecuted to write my cousin and tell her to stop lying. An act regretted to this day, and for which I have apologised but always feel ashamed of myself about.
