That sounds therapeutic - a shrine to you. I flooded a little ditch in the back yard, threw an old canvas cedar-strip canoe alongside it, added a non floating decoy (it has a pellet hole in it) to the grasses, put up a bird feeder and a tiny bird bath, set out my lawnchair, got out my bird book and binoculars and enjoyed a summer of giving thanks for the beautiful families of birds that nest and migrate through here every year. Of course, aside from the birds, I get lots of time for me and my thoughts. It's great for my mental health - not that I'm mental or anything - hee hee. I'll often go for a walk in the woods too, just to be me. I like being me. I really like canoing off in the wilderness for the weekends, or for a week when I'm not too busy keeping the wolf away from the door. I especially like canoing out of the marsh after dark when the moon is rising up over the water and shimmering it's sparkling light across the wavelets from horizon to canoe. I swear I am going to build some kind of houseboat and spend the night out there under those star studded skies, falling comets; listenning to the music of the marsh.
Hope you can get away to your little get away when your're feeling up to it.
