Coordinator #1 and #2 didn't conspire to be good cop and bad cop. There are a range of opinions and perspectives and we each offered our own. That's why I started out as #1 in reply to your question "what is the remedy?". I didn't even ask the other coordinators what they thought behind the scenes, I just knew there would be different perpectives.
I'm sure you appreciate that not all legal strategy and sensitive legal information can be shared or discussed. Apart from that, no one on the staff tried to "withold the truth" as you put it. We were not behind these censorship actions. Anyhow, I suspect if you had seen the missing content of that email, it wouldn't have made much difference to you. But it certainly did for me.
