I am only stating my opinion here and because I do not know any of the people involved personally it is rather general. But I believe the best place for people leaving the Family is as far from exers (that keep in touch with the Family) as possible. Its the only safe way to really deprogram as far as I'm concerned. When I first left the Family I was in touch with exers who were still friendly with the Family and it was as bad if not worse that the dramas of the Family. No place for someone trying to regain their sanity. 'A' sounds like a lot of people I know who were more important as an exer and got more attention than they ever did in the Family and became addicted to it. Helping people leave what? Low self esteem - yes. Better to be a big fish in a small pond.
