I know exactly what she means because I used to have a friendship with people who are Family leaders. I used to think that our friendship went beyond the Family crap. That it was a real friendship. I enjoyed having this particular family with us for holidays and our one time a year mountain cabin vacation. I thought that their kids having real normal kids as friends would help them later as they grew up.
So I know what Anneke means. I miss what I thought was a friendship. I realise now that I was probably being used. It's too bad.
