If you look at their 2002 990, Statement 3 for Part II, Line 43 you will note an expense of $150,568 for "Marketing - Internet Search Eng."
While this expense may not seem like that much, it is relatively high in comparison with their fundraising costs in previous years and is also a fairly large percentage of their total expenses. It will be interesting to see what their 2003 990 looks like.
I'm not suggesting that anyone try to get Overture (probably one of several services they use) to stop accepting their money as that is very unlikely to be a productive use of time. However, perhaps a few people might want to do their own keyword advertising that will show up when someone searches for terms relating to the FCF and their projects. I have some ideas regarding this but I'll leave them out for now.
