The thing is, it is one thing 'leaving' TF and it is something else to get TF out of yourself.
It is very difficult for many to get the very culture that affected them for years out of their system. Some succeed, while others end up with hybrid versions.
Also, don't forget that there were a lot of 'weird' and particular people (not mainstream in any way and at times as nutty as a squirrel's breakfast) who ended up in TF as well.
Leaving the group did not change that or make it better.
