It would really help to have this in the electronic format that you have it in.
Here's how you can reduce the size of your email attachment.
1. Set your scanner to scan at 300 dpi (if you don't know how, try to see where you can choose settings like "newspaper" instead of "photo", and if you can't find that, skip this step altogether!)
2. See if you can find out how to save your scanned image as a .gif file and/or a .jpg (or .jpeg) file... save in both formats and see which file is smaller. (Skip this if you can't figure out how to choose a format)
3) If you get to see any choices while scanning about the quality of the file, choose low quality to save space. (Skip this if it's too tough)
4) when you're done scanning, zip the file. If you have winzip or some other zip program installed, usually all you have to do is right click on the file, and choose something like "send to zip"
A file name like "article.jpeg" will usually end up being called "article.zip"... it's the zip file which you should send.
