One of the things I do to figure out what price something will probably sell at is to look at "completed" auctions.
To do that you go to the Ebay home page and:
1. Click "Search" (don't fill in the search box yet, just click "search")
2. Click "Advanced Search"
3. Check the box that says "Completed Items Only"
4. Type the item you will be selling into the search box
5. Click Search
That will give you recently completed auctions on the same (or similar) item that you are selling.
On most items they finish pretty close. In other words, if everyone else is getting $10 for your item, you probably won't get $200. But, sometimes I'm shocked when I find something I would have sold for $10 is going for $200.
