I think your suspicion is correct, Susie. It's rare nowadays to find a German who doesn't have a pretty good command of English. In spite of our having given this person links to German web sites and English-to-German translation web sites, she/he keeps returning with questions that should have been provided by the materials we already pointed her/him to.
