If he was using his child as crocodile bait, now that would really be a crime and children's services should have removed the children. But in a controlled situation, though they may appear that way, they are far from it. In fact when Bindi was in the pool, she was in an area that was fenced off. I can't compare the forklift thing either. Probably because the work is much more hazardous. But I think that a camera and camera crew could have been taken on a forklifters site and a controlled situation could have been filmed to look risque when it really wasn't at all. That kind of care would need to be taken to bring an infant or child to the site. When I went to school in the country, I knew a girl that did barrel racing competitions in rodeos and had lots of ribbons and trophies for her talent by the age of 10. She also broke horses when she was 12. Most people never would or should try this. But I don't think her parents were neglectful or criminal since they were born country and passed their skills on to their kids.
Breaking horses and doing barrel racing on a horse as a child can be hazardous to one's health. But somehow, it seems much more dangerous as far as the odds of injury goes, than having a child walk a few blocks to home after getting out of school.
