I never lost my faith after leaving the family but I was only in the first time for 3 ½ years. The second time I was only in for about a year ending in 1976. I was kicked out both times. I now go to church not every Sunday but maybe every other Sunday and I’ve been involved in some small church groups and singles groups. I’ve gone witnessing on the street from time to time passing out tracts. I’ve even led a couple of people to the Lord.
I’d like to suggest that you need Christian fellowship. A place I go on the internet is www.crosswalk.com. You can ask for prayer about anything. You can even talk about the cult and people will pray with you. You need to go to the forums section and you’ll need to register your email address and a password. There’s a thread in the Christian Doctrine forum about spiritual abuse. You could get on there and talk about your experiences.
If you can find a good group of Christians to fellowship with that would be good too even if your faith is very weak.
