When that sucker is frozen right up in the turkey's butt the temptation is to try to grab it and jerk it out, but don't do it! Take it from a pro who's cut his knuckles year after year pulling out frozen turkey necks because they don't come out easy. Grab a pair of plumbing pliers instead, get a good grip on the turkey neck then just let the turkey's own weight pull the neck out.
This is kind of like the stupid tips Mo filled his letters with, isn't it? Well at least I'm not still wrapping saran wrap and hanging it up to dry.
