My understanding is that Peter came to a Fellowship at Laurelhome. As far as I know, Barney was still an FM member of The Family. There are some photos on NDN of that Fellowship under "Barney's Photo Album". But, of course, no photos of Peter.
I was very involved with Barney and his website until earlier this year when he abruptly resigned. I attended Fellowships around the country, visited his home, and communicated with him on a daily basis.
I can honestly say that I never observed Barney trying to recruity anyone back into The Family. In fact, Barney seemed very disturbed when it appeared that one of his adult sons might rejoin.
It is my personal opinion, that Barney was still greatly influenced by some Family doctrines, and probably had a desire to get a wide variety of ex-members together in Fellowship.
I never had the impression that the ultimate goal in all of this was to get people to rejoin The Family. I have not heard that Barney has rejoined. I would be surprised if he did, but not stunned or shocked. Stunned or shocked for me would be if Achieck or Sam Ajemian or my Wife rejoined.
I still really don't know exactly why Barney quit the website he started. Or what his goals are at the moment. The last time we had any communication was when he was very thoughtful to email me during the southern california fires to see if we were okay. But other than that ??
