With mothers who were left wondering around from home to home in a daze without their children. Probably told they were being sent on a retraining trip and then never allowed to return. In some ways we were powerless, and there was still that fear factor that kept us in subjection. Berg used the patriarchal doctrine to really get the women under subjection. Yet, confusingly, there were women leaders who just turned into real bee-atches. I guess it didn't matter as long as the flock was under control.
