I wasn't in childcare so don't even ever remember seeing the 'Little Fish' letter while in the Family. The only time I remember seeing it was after I'd left. Nevertheless there was lots of other highly-sexualized publications around like 'Circumcision or Uncircumcision'.
MG, I think your analysis of being bombarded with reality-altering info is very accurate. While it explains our mindset, however, it doesn't change actual crimes into something less harmless. It maybe explains why people stayed in the group for so long but in the final analysis we each bear the responsibility for our actions when we finally come out from under that influence.
