Maria will never do more than make vague illusory apologies, she'll never admit to any abuse because that could be used in legal incriminations. Look how she tells the parents to be careful about any apologies they may make to their SG offspring. She never uses any word strong than "mistakes", because that wouldn't be useful in any legal proceedings.
