Joseph,
I can tell you how I managed to get an education after leaving TF. in 1974. I joined when I was 17, and had only a tenth grade education.
After leaving the family, I took remedial classes in preparation for taking the GED, which is a high school equivalency test which if passed gives you a diploma. Once I got the GED, I went to a junior college and earned an AA. My GPA was 4.0, so I had no problem getting into a 4-year university. I earned a BS in Information Systems via the University of Phoenix on-line.
With the explosive growth of the home schooling movement in the U.S., many colleges are eager to accept home schooled students, because they have learned that these kids have gotten a quality education. This situation makes it easier for SGAs to get a college degree.
