I don't think you are suggesting not to say anything about specific crimes. Why people may not discuss specific events is because the perpetrators' names may have been forgotten, or because they know the perpetrators and perhaps even in their circle of friends, or in the circle of people they like, etc. Also, some people don't want to get involved. My house was being burglarized one day and my neighbor, who was a "good" Christian, decided not to get involved. These are the kinds of reasons that people have not to address this type of questions.
My guess is that we feel so ashamed for the part we had on all of that that we want to distance outselves from it. One way t6o deliverance is to talk about that and name names and to name places and to name when those things took place.
Just my opinion.
