Even if he embellished it a little so he could get the hell out of dodge, the fact remains is the U.S. had no idea where she was. Her best friend died in captivity. They could have turned them over to the U.S. troops if they wanted, but they didn't - no matter how they were treated, she could have languished there and/or been turned over to Saddam's army by some loyalist. At that time in the war, the U.S. had no idea what they were going into to get her out. As time goes on, I like her less and less by her attitude.
