I don't think that they (Family members) are ever going to be able to do the right thing until they come out of the group, which would be the right thing. And that's not going to happen since they already think that they ARE doing the right thing.
I am sorry to hear that you have never had a REAL family. That must have been a very painful wound. I hope that scar has healed and that you have found some love and peace.
