I kinda think that she does have empathy - empathy "as long as" the candidate stays within the confines of the doctrine and is trying to make it "a la doctrine." I'm sure she has empathy for backlsidders returning to the Fam and the doctrine as well. That's not to say that she has the victory and that she doesn't slip into the base nature that you mentioned. Could her lack of empathy , the empathy you speak of, be attributed to doctrine?
