Hi Archivist
In your post above you suggest "I think the management of this board should let the readers know where they stand concerning Sam - his views and methods."
Good suggestion. Please allow me to repost what was written below when *Question* asked if the coordinators of this board supported Sam:
exFamily.org is supported by a group of volunteers and has a threefold purpose:
* To be a dynamic resource of information about the Family of Love (a.k.a Children of God and other pseudonyms)
* To provide tools which enable convenient access to that information
* To help current and ex members to process their past to move on and create their future
exFamily.org is comprised of individual volunteers, some with fundamental differences and completely opposing views regarding some serious issues. What keeps us working together despite this, are our common goals mentioned above.
As individuals, we diverge and are free to and often do, disagree. As collective volunteers for maintaining this website, we can speak for ourselves and what we stand for as a website. What exactly we stand for is detailed in our policies page. Obviously, as a website, we will endorse whatever we have in common with someone, and if and when our policies diverge from theirs, we will not. exFamily.org is under no obligation to:
a) judge whetherSam's actions are considered "extremism"
b) decide if it supports or doesn't support "Sam's extremism"
Maybe that's not the answer you wanted, but that's our official answer.
