My husband just read

Ed's essays on "The Goddesses" or something like that, and is starting to read through Deb's book. For me, I think it's too highly emotional for me to handle right now, but my husband was saying that the story of Berg's grandmother's "paralysis" and miraculous healing was hightly exagerrated, according to Deb, and that Berg had made Deb a "queen" in order to justify himself "a king" having sex with her, but because of her refusal on several occasions, she was demoted.

Have any of you read these things yet? Hearing things like that, and the things about Berg fucking the different goddesses, some of whom are outright mentioned enemies of God in the Bible, it makes me mad all over again about 20 years of my life built on a foundation of lies deceptively disguised in Christianity.

And while I respect the right Family members have to remain in such a group, I cannot understand their blind acceptance of the group and not coming to grips with certain foundation truths about its past and how that past has created the present structure.
