I also have been having a quandry about "coming clean" or whatever that means. I don't quite understand what is meant by that. However, I do know that no one in my family wants anyone to know what their past was. Also, it has caused me trouble when dealing with tense situations. Once people bring up my past, I lose all credibility. I know people in sensitive professional fields that cannot talk about their past at all - no one knows but them. I may come clean with other former members, just so they know where I stand. Maybe that's what coming clean is good for. Maybe it means, taking a stand so everyone knows for sure - unlike some others I know who it was always iffy of what they were doing or where they stood and it made it hard to trust them. When you are in the public eye, it is a more sensitive issue.
