Maybe next time you could write [LB] and ask them if they were in the Family before broadcasting that they are. Journalism 101. The onus is on you, as a responsible (?) publisher of a newsletter, to verify facts before you publish them.
I know this is a novel concept for you, but it might boost your credibility a teensy weensy bit.
As a rule of thumb, don't publish facts unless you know they are true. At least ask people before you write stuff about them.
